1956 Chevrolet floor pans
Here, we see the new floor pans fastened with clecos into place. This assures proper alignment as the process of welding the panels into place moves along. In this particular application, since the body was not removed from the frame and drive train is fully intact. The seems where the floor pan meets the trans tunnel required a joggle and an overlap. This allows the floor pan to lay flush and be welded around its perimeter for an airtight seal.
